Cancellation Policies

Yoga Getaways & Other Centre Programs

  • Full payment is required to complete your registration.
  • If cancellation is received prior to 21 days before your arrival date, your payment is refundable minus a $31.50 administration fee per person.
  • If cancellation is received within 21 days of your arrival date, it is often too late to fill your spot (and others may have been turned away due to full enrollment or room selection). Therefore you have 1 of 2 options:
    1. A fee of $31.50 per person is retained, and the balance can be transferred to another date or program within the same program year. (Credits are transferable to another person with your written permission.)
    2. Your payment is refundable minus a $105 administration fee per person.
  • No refunds are given if you cancel on the day of, or during a program.
  • In the event that the Centre cancels a program due to insufficient registration or unforeseeable events, you will be notified as soon as possible (at least 14 days prior to the start date) and your fee will be refunded in full.

Personal Retreats

  • Full payment is required to reserve your spot.
  • If cancellation is received prior to 7 days before your arrival date, your payment is refundable minus a $30 administration fee per person.
  • If cancellation is received within 7 days of your arrival date, you have 1 of 2 options:
    1. Your payment can be transferred to another date or program within the same program year. (Credits are transferable to another person with your written permission.)
    2. Your payment is refundable minus a $50 administration fee per person.

Annual Community Yoga Retreat Guests*

  • Full payment is required to reserve your spot.
  • If cancellation is received prior to 14 days of the ACYR, your payment is refundable minus a $30 administration fee per person.
  • If cancellation is received within 14 days of the ACYR, your payment is refundable minus a $100 administration fee per person.
  • No refunds are given if you cancel on the day of, or during a program.

Yoga Teacher Training

  • The cancellation and refund policy is in accordance with requirements of the Private Career Training Institutes Agency (PCTIA). Details of the policy are outlined in the Student Enrollment Contract, a copy of which may be obtained by contacting the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga office.

Yoga Service & Study Immersion

  • The $30 application fee is non-refundable and will be applied to program fees for accepted applicants.
  • The first month of the program fee ($195 deposit + $30 application fee = $225 total) is also non-refundable.
  • Refunds after the start of the YSSI term are at the discretion of the YSSI Committee.

Renter Programs

  • For programs hosted by a Renter, the cancellation policy may be different than the Centre cancellation policies outlined here. The program host must be contacted directly for details.
  • For programs where the accommodations and meals portion of the retreat is reserved directly with the Centre by the participant, the cancellation policy will often be different than our policies listed here. Please contact the Centre for details of the cancellation policy for the specific program.
