Each season we host a series of topical weekend retreats and other programs.
- When? View up-to-date programs listings on our programs page or calendar.
- Who? Each of our retreats is different. Our Annual Family Retreat, for example, is a perfect time to bring the kids. Yoga teachers wishing to broaden their knowledge and experience might choose Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training or the Ayurveda Lifestyle Workshop.
- What? Visit our programs page for more details on this season’s offerings.
- What’s included? Program fees include a tuition component that covers classes, evening events and program materials, and an accommodation component that covers meals, tea bar and facility use, and accommodation ranging from private rooms to campsites in the forest or meadow. Wellness Centre services are available as an add-on. You can also extend your stay before and after most programs with the personal retreat option below.
Join our resident community for a relaxing stay at the Centre.
- When? Set your own schedule, choosing from mid-week dates listed on our calendar.
- Who? Suitable for individuals and couples.
- What? While staying at the Centre, guests join in the routines of an active yoga community. There’s also time for silence and solitude, and perhaps exploring Salt Spring Island.
What’s included? Accommodation, organic community meals, a self-serve 24/7 tea bar and regularly scheduled yoga classes and evening programs are included. Optional add-ons, such as treatments at our Wellness Centre are also available. Please keep in mind that the Centre is not a hotel or a resort spa. Visitors are joining a practicing yoga community.
The Salt Spring Centre is the longest- running retreat centre on Canada’s west coast. It was built and continues to be run by volunteers in the spirit of karma yoga, or selfless service.
