Each season we host a series of weekend retreats and programs. Come for a day or a week. Take home a lasting sense of tranquility. We offer a variety of retreats and programs for individuals, families and groups. Eat delicious freshly prepared food, wander the forest trails of our extensive grounds, enjoy a massage at our on-site wellness centre, join our community events, or just bring a good book and enjoy the silence.



Yoga Teacher Training

Our two-part residential program immerses you in the teachings and practice of all aspects of classical yoga: asana, pranayama, and meditation. Practice in the serene natural beauty of Canada’s west coast. Learn from our outstanding twenty-member faculty. Enjoy delicious meals prepared with produce from our own gardens.


Annual Community Yoga Retreat

43 years running, this family friendly retreat is jam packed with classes, music, performance, games and more. The Annual community yoga retreat is the touchstone for many people who have been returning to the Centre for much of their lives, and a great opportunity to connect with the people who have supported and built the Salt Spring Centre through the years.

Yoga Getaway

Yoga Getaway

Our rejuvenating getaway retreat includes two nights accommodation, delicious vegetarian meals and a variety of yoga classes to suit all levels in the morning and afternoon. Morning practices include gentle breathing exercises accompanied by guided meditation to harmonize body and mind.


Create A Personalized Retreat

Create a personalized retreat or extend your stay at the Centre before or after one of our retreats. Enjoy daily asana and meditation classes as well as delicious, primarily organic vegetarian meals using seasonal produce from our extensive gardens. Spend your time in quiet contemplation, walking in nature, reading, exploring Salt Spring Island and other activities. Return home feeling rested, well-nourished and spiritually rejuvenated. Suitable for individuals, couples and small groups. While staying at the Centre, guests join in the routines of an active yoga community.



The Salt Spring Centre of Yoga is a non-profit organization operated by Dharma Sara Satsang Society, a non-profit organization. It was built and continues to be run by volunteers in the spirit of karma yoga (selfless service).
