The Centre offers the possibility of short stay personal retreats mid-week to enable guests to pursue their individual practice of yoga in a peaceful and beautiful environment shared with a small spiritual community.
Enjoy daily asana and meditation classes as well as delicious, primarily organic vegetarian meals using seasonal produce from our extensive gardens. Spend your time in quiet contemplation, walking in nature, reading and other activities. Deepen your relaxation and sense of well-being by treating yourself to an Ayurveda or bodywork session at the Chikitsa Shala Wellness Centre. Return home feeling rested, well-nourished and spiritually rejuvenated.
Personal Retreat stays may be from one to four nights, Monday through Thursday, beginning end-March and ending in mid-November. Our 2013 season for Personal Retreats begins March 25, 2013! Occasionally we are able to offer weekend time as well, and in that case a discount applies for stays of five or more nights. This discount will also apply if you are adding personal retreat days to a weekend program, whenever your total time at the Centre including program nights is five nights or more. Extend your stay at the Centre by adding personal retreat time to the start or end of our other programs, such as Yoga Getaways. In this case, it is not necessary to fill out a separate personal retreat registration. Simply indicate the dates you would like to arrive and depart on your program registration.
