Event Details
You are cordially invited to attend a candle-lighting ceremony to honour the longest night of the year. On the 21st we begin to leave the darkness and emerge, with each passing day, into more light.
Suzan Denis will lead us in a guided meditation which will allow us to connect with the indwelling peaceful soul; Intention setting for the dawning of the longer daylight hours to come will also be part of our ceremony.
John Howe will lead us through a series of yin yoga postures. These long held, (3-5minutes, each) floor postures will make use of props such as bolsters and blocks. Yin yoga is a practice of quieting the mind, while also providing opportunity for the physical body tissues to expand.
Please bring your own mat and yoga props (blocks, bolster or pillow). Proof of double vaccination will be required. Mask wearing to and from the mat will also be required. Once we are on our mats the wearing of masks is not required.
Limit of 20 participants.
