Yoga-Alliance Certified 17-hour Therapeutic Teacher Training - Yoga for Cancer - September 27 - 29, 2024 with Chetna Boyd

Event Details

Yoga can be healing and transformative for those journeying through cancer. While it’s not a cure for cancer, yoga can enhance physical and emotional wellness – and reunite people with the peace many had thought they’d lost forever.

Please join Tracy Chetna Boyd as she guides you through this experiential workshop and provides you with an overview of Yoga for Cancer.

This workshop will incorporate an educational overview and include some specific tools such as:

  • Breath work
  • Mudras
  • Yoga Nidra
  • Assessment tools for Kosha (subtle body) analysis
  • Intake forms
  • Langhana (cooling practice) vs Brahmana (energizing/heating practices)
  • Eight foundations of “healing and recovery”
  • Two 90-minute examples of therapeutic asana classes for cancer patients and survivors

“I feel like I was really uninformed and naive about cancer and cancer treatment before the workshop. Now I feel like I have a tiny bit of knowledge – and it’s not so scary to think about teaching to folks on a journey with cancer. There is NO WAY that I would have been comfortable teaching at Inspire Health without the workshop. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your wisdom Chetna! I feel very fortunate to have been able to study with you. You are an inspiring teacher and mentor.”
