I just enjoyed a 3-day retreat in late November, 2025. It was a phenomenal experience for the body, soul and mind. It is my fourth visit to the centre. The food is amazing, and the staff and teachers are very supportive. I have some mobility issues, but attend regardless because they make it possible. I highly recommend this retreat centre for all sorts of reasons: the landscape, yoga, food, and the general warmth of the yoga community.

A place of peace and joyful cooperation!
I recently had the pleasure of spending two nights at Salt Spring Centre for Yoga, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed into a beautiful, nurturing community. I was there to offer a sound bath meditation and to experience the incredible energy of the space. Every part of my stay was infused with care, from the delicious food to the soulful yoga offerings.

The retreat centre truly radiates a sense of peace and connection to nature, making it a perfect sanctuary for rest and renewal. I left feeling deeply rested, inspired, and excited to return. Thank you to everyone at Salt Spring Centre for Yoga for creating such a heartfelt, loving space. We will definitely be back!

A personal retreat at the Salt Spring Centre is a magical step away from a busy life. I echo all the glowing comments in the other 5-star reviews. In addition, I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a writing retreat. I came here thinking that all I needed to get past my writer’s block was uninterrupted time to write. But it turned out that first I had to slow down. The community here gently showed me that it was OK to go at my own pace. Between yoga classes, walks along the lovely trails, healthy meals prepared by the karma yogis, and time spent reading and reflecting, I began to relax. By the third day, I had begun to write again, after having been stuck for months. Thank you to Anuradha and all the members of the community.

Had a wonderful visit to the Salt Spring Centre in early October! The staff are incredible, the food is delicious, the facilities are cozy, and the studios are phenomenal places to practice. I highly recommend the Centre for both individual and group retreats! Just passing by? It’s worth a stop just for the farm stand treats!

I attended a beautiful Bhakti Yoga retreat at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga, offered by the Vedic Priestess Temple and focused on the Goddess Durga. As a Salt Spring Island resident, it was such a gift to experience such a rich and heart-centered offering right here at home. The teachings, rooted in authentic lineage, were deeply inspiring, the food was absolutely incredible, and the land itself felt deeply restorative. I’m so grateful for this experience and the care that went into every detail.

I’ve been volunteering at Salt Spring Centre of Yoga this Fall. It is my second time here, and I absolutely love it. Yoga, Nature & Community interweave in extraordinary ways, in full support of my journey as a human being. The people are amazing, the food is delicious and the teachings of Yoga, are rooted in Classical Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali as taught by Baba Hari Dass (1923-2018) - a yogi and silent monk from northern India and the inspiration behind SSCY. His teachings permeate every aspect of this sacred place and is shared open-heartedly with anyone who comes here seeking inner peace. Additionally, beautiful retreats are held annually with spectacular facilitators. I highly recommend Salt Spring Yoga Center! This centre is the hidden jewel of BC, Canada. 💎

I’m so grateful the Salt Spring Centre exists! Whether I stay for a night, a weekend, or a month, I always leave feeling better than when I arrived (more calm, connected, centered, inspired, nurtured, healed). The place, the people, the food, the wellness treatments, the gardens & natural land, and of course the yoga & meditation classes all contribute to the magic of the experience.
Words don’t do it justice!
Highly, highly recommend!
And if you’re looking for a Yoga Teacher Training program, do yourself a favour: this one is top notch & life-changing in the best way 🙂

Bonus Pro Tip: Plunge in Blackburn Lake (clothing optional) to augment the body-mind-soul rejuvenation (I took a mid-October swim on my way to check-in & it was glorious! Refreshing & revitalizing).
