About the workshop:
Over time, many people unconsciously develop breathing habits that are less than ideal. They may over-breathe – breathe too much, too hard, or breathe through an open mouth during wakefulness and sleep. This alters the natural levels of gases in the blood, reduces oxygen delivery to tissues and organs, and causes constriction of the smooth muscles surrounding blood vessels and airways. Such dysfunctional breathing habits can contribute to numerous health problems, including shortness of breath, disrupted sleep, asthma, cold hands and feet, feeling panicked or anxious, having difficulty concentrating, digestive disturbances, poor posture and high blood pressure.
During this 4 week course you will learn how to restore functional, nasal breathing 24/7, normalizing the volume of air that is breathed and helping to alleviate such health problems. The exercises are easily integrated into your routine, whatever your age, health or goals.
The Buteyko Method offers simple, tailored breathing exercises and daily programs to help improve:
- Anxiety, stress, racing mind, panic attacks and trauma
- Asthma and respiratory disorders (including coughing, wheezing, breathlessness and chest tightness)
- Sleep disorders (including snoring, insomnia and sleep apnea)
- Dysfunctional breathing patterns (including mouth breathing, over-breathing, upper-chest breathing, frequent sighing and yawning)
- Fitness and recovery
These exercises are based on Buteyko method and help:
- Ublock the Nose: Reduce nasal congestion, stuffiness, rhinitis and respiratory infections.
- Release Nitric Oxide: Boost your body’s defences against infection and inflammation.
- Improve Sleep Quality: Learn techniques to maintain nasal breathing during sleep and reduce nighttime awakening, snoring and sleep apnea.
- Regulate Breathing Volume: Enhance oxygen delivery throughout your body promoting optimal health and well-being.
- Stimulate the Vagus Nerve: Activate the Autonomic Nervous System’s Parasympathetic “rest and digest” response to calm your body and mind, promoting relaxation and better sleep.

Over the years, the Buteyko Method has helped hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Numerous scientific studies and case studies have demonstrated that Buteyko breathing exercises can have considerable beneficial effects on physical and emotional wellbeing. Facilitator:
Tyna is passionate about supporting others on their healing journey. She began her path as a Holistic Nutrition Health Therapist and Kinesiologist, and is a long-time practitioner of Yoga and Qigong. Her journey later expanded into becoming a trauma-informed Breathwork Facilitator and certified Buteyko Restorative Breathing Therapist.
Her work weaves together ancient breathing practices from yoga and qigong with modern science, always grounded in the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit.

🌿 More than a retreat, this is an exercise in Sacred Community 🌿
An interspiritual gathering rooted in the lineage of Ram Dass and Neem Karoli Baba and centering the teachings of Bhakti Yoga and Buddhism.
Anchored with mantra, meditation, and ritual, the core practice of this retreat is Sacred Community. We practice seeing the Divine everywhere—in nature, in each other, and in ourselves—and we act in reverence to this Truth. In this way, we help each other awaken from separation and into the Heart of Love.
Practice
By gathering in Satsang (spiritual community) and engaging in sadhana (practice), we gain Darshan (vision) and behold this Love everywhere.
Meditation
Each morning starts with guided meditation. We practice letting go of clinging in the mind, so we can return to Loving-Awareness.
Kirtan
Each night ends with kirtan from experienced chant leaders. Kirtan is the practice of chanting the Holy Names— ancient Sanskrit mantras that reveal Loving-Awareness.
Ritual
Puja is woven throughout each day, and it is a prayer made with the entire body, mind, and senses. It is an honoring of the Love within, and it awakens Bhav (the devotional mood) and connects us to community.
Teachings
Our teacher, Ram Dass, honored all paths and had a special affinity for both Bhakti (devotional yoga) and Buddhism. Authentic teachings will be offered as a way to ground our experience in something deep, meaningful, and rooted in lineage.
Community
Sacred Community is “Loving-Awareness practiced together,” and it is rooted in the truth of Interdependence. Both the practice and the reward, we actualize Sacred Community through intention-setting, small group reflections, and shared meals.

About the workshop:
Over time, many people unconsciously develop breathing habits that are less than ideal. They may over-breathe – breathe too much, too hard, or breathe through an open mouth during wakefulness and sleep. This alters the natural levels of gases in the blood, reduces oxygen delivery to tissues and organs, and causes constriction of the smooth muscles surrounding blood vessels and airways. Such dysfunctional breathing habits can contribute to numerous health problems, including shortness of breath, disrupted sleep, asthma, cold hands and feet, feeling panicked or anxious, having difficulty concentrating, digestive disturbances, poor posture and high blood pressure.
During this 4 week course you will learn how to restore functional, nasal breathing 24/7, normalizing the volume of air that is breathed and helping to alleviate such health problems. The exercises are easily integrated into your routine, whatever your age, health or goals.
The Buteyko Method offers simple, tailored breathing exercises and daily programs to help improve:
- Anxiety, stress, racing mind, panic attacks and trauma
- Asthma and respiratory disorders (including coughing, wheezing, breathlessness and chest tightness)
- Sleep disorders (including snoring, insomnia and sleep apnea)
- Dysfunctional breathing patterns (including mouth breathing, over-breathing, upper-chest breathing, frequent sighing and yawning)

An interspiritual gathering rooted in the lineage of Ram Dass and Neem Karoli Baba and centering the teachings of Bhakti Yoga and Buddhism.
Anchored with mantra, meditation, and ritual, the core practice of this retreat is Sacred Community. We practice seeing the Divine everywhere—in nature, in each other, and in ourselves—and we act in reverence to this Truth. In this way, we help each other awaken from separation and into the Heart of Love.
Practice
By gathering in Satsang (spiritual community) and engaging in sadhana (practice), we gain Darshan (vision) and behold this Love everywhere.
Meditation
Each morning starts with guided meditation. We practice letting go of clinging in the mind, so we can return to Loving-Awareness.
Kirtan
Each night ends with kirtan from experienced chant leaders. Kirtan is the practice of chanting the Holy Names— ancient Sanskrit mantras that reveal Loving-Awareness.
Ritual
Puja is woven throughout each day, and it is a prayer made with the entire body, mind, and senses. It is an honoring of the Love within, and it awakens Bhav (the devotional mood) and connects us to community.
Teachings
Our teacher, Ram Dass, honored all paths and had a special affinity for both Bhakti (devotional yoga) and Buddhism. Authentic teachings will be offered as a way to ground our experience in something deep, meaningful, and rooted in lineage.
Community
Sacred Community is “Loving-Awareness practiced together,” and it is rooted in the truth of Interdependence. Both the practice and the reward, we actualize Sacred Community through intention-setting, small group reflections, and shared meals.
