InnerSpace Retreat: Rooted Ways of Being
In this time of great change, what might we learn from our earth and her stewards? What might we practice so we can live in this time with more intention, joy, and connection?
On June 19-21, you’re invited to the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga to connect with the wisdom of your body, the healing power of the land, and a loving community of dreamers exploring this relationship. Guided by facilitators, wellness practitioners, musicians and land stewards, you will be invited to explore a variety of modalities – breathwork, yoga, ecstatic dance and sound bath- that celebrate this connection and support its integration. All taking place on a regenerative farm, and surrounded by the protected rainforest of the Salt Spring Conservancy. On the sacred weekend of the summer solstice and Indigenous People’s Weekend (June 19-21), we
welcome you to gather on the traditional and unceded territories of the SENĆOŦEN & Hul’q’umi’num speaking peoples on Salt Spring Island, to feel, listen, move, connect and
celebrate. Guided by facilitators, wellness practitioners, musicians and land stewards, you will be invited to explore a variety of modalities – yoga, ecstatic dance, sound bath, and ceremony- to support embodied learning and integration. Our host, the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga, provides a grounding space and lovingly prepared lacto-vegetarian meals so we can be immersed in the retreat. The land that will hold us takes place on a regenerative farm, and is surrounded by the protected rainforest of the Salt Spring Conservancy.
About This Retreat
Food: Delicious lacto-vegetarian meals prepared by the karma yogis at the centre, with ingredients right from the Salt Spring Centre farm.
Accommodations: A forested campground with tent pads, outdoor showers with hot water, and clean outhouses, that is a three minute walk from the main house where meals are. Alternate arrangements can be made if you would prefer a room at the centre at an additional cost.
Travel: For those coming from Vancouver, the ferry from Tsawassan will be leaving on Friday at 10:25 and arriving at Long Harbour, Salt Spring Island at 1:20. We recommend taking the early ferry and booking your ferry one month in advance. Please note your ferry ticket is not included in your retreat ticket.
Community: There is availability for 35 people to attend the retreat. Most will be connected through the communities of the Flying Sage and Days of Lavender.
Substances: The focus of the retreat will be connecting with each other, the land and the healing modalities offered. The Centre of Yoga asks that any substances not be used on Centre property. This is also to ensure that our facilitators who are licensed professionals, are not liable. The focus of the retreat is remembering that the land, good food, community, movement etc. is all medicine.

Sacred Community Retreat: Awakening the Heart Through the Path of Grace
August 13-16 2026
Salt Spring Centre of Yoga
More than a retreat, this is an exercise in Sacred Community.
An interspiritual gathering rooted in the lineage of Ram Dass and Neem Karoli
Baba and centering the teachings of Bhakti Yoga and Buddhism. Anchored with
mantra, meditation, and ritual, the core practice of this retreat is Sacred
Community. We practice seeing the Divine everywhere—in nature, in each other,
and in ourselves—and we act in reverence to this Truth. In this way, we help each
other awaken from separation and into the Heart of Love.
PRACTICE
Meditation: Each morning starts with guided meditation. We practice letting go of
clinging in the mind, so we can return to Loving-Awareness.
Kirtan: Each night ends with kirtan from experienced chant leaders. Kirtan is the
practice of chanting the Holy Names— ancient Sanskrit mantras that reveal Loving-
Awareness.
Ritual: Puja is woven throughout each day, and it is a prayer made with the entire body,
mind, and senses. It is an honoring of the Love within, and it awakens Bhav (the
devotional mood) and connects us to community.
Teachings: Our teacher, Ram Dass, honored all paths and had a special affinity for
both Bhakti (devotional yoga) and Buddhism. Authentic teachings will be offered as a
way to ground our experience in something deep, meaningful, and rooted in lineage.
Community: Sacred Community is “Loving-Awareness practiced together,” and it is
rooted in the truth of Interdependence. Both the practice and the reward, we actualize
Sacred Community through intention-setting, small group reflections, and shared meals.
In line with SCP values, all accommodation options are offered on a sliding-scale basis. Each
accommodation has five different ticket tiers to increase access to the retreat, and scholarship
and work-trade options are available for those in need.

EXHALE
A Mindful Somatic Wellness All-Inclusive Retreat
Aug 20–23, 2026 | Salt Spring Centre of Yoga | Salt Spring Island, BC
Early Bird prices CAD | 17 spots total | Lodging + vegan meals + retreat programming included

If you’ve been holding everything together—quietly bracing, pushing through, caring for others while your own system runs thin—Exhale is your permission to step out of survival and into restoration.
This is not about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering who you are under the roles, the masks, and the constant “I’m fine.”
What Exhale Is
Exhale is a trauma-informed, mindfulness-based somatic retreat for people who are fighting overwhelm and burnout—and want to feel themselves again, from the inside out.
You’ll be held by:
-
a steady, spacious practice container (no forcing, no fixing)
-
community without performance
-
nature as co-regulation: forest air, ocean light, and the greater Earth body
-
farm-fresh vegan meals prepared on site
-
a world-class retreat centre with heart and soul
This retreat is also a values choice: for those who are intentional about keeping money in Canada and supporting local businesses—while supporting yourself.

The Ecology of Self
You are not a problem to solve. You’re a living system to tend.
In Exhale, we work with the Ecology of Self:
-
Roots — support, settling, nourishment, receiving
-
Branches — practical tools for real life: breath, movement, boundaries, pacing
-
Canopy — connection, meaning, belonging, and the parts of you that return when you’re no longer bracing
This is restoration that lands—because it’s embodied.
What We’ll Practice (and What You’ll Leave With)
Each day includes meditation to turn inward, gentle embodied somatics to support your system from the inside out, and spacious practices that help you come back to yourself—without force.
You’ll be guided through:
-
daily mindfulness + meditation (chair, cushion, or lying down are all welcome)
-
gentle somatic movement to unwind bracing and support restoration
-
journal exploration to deepen embodied learning and integration
-
and plenty of free time to rest, wander, and explore the beauty of Salt Spring Island
You’ll leave with a simple, repeatable rhythm you can bring home—
a filled inner reservoir, a deeper exhale to meet your life with, and tools that help you restore steadiness when the world gets loud.
Training Hours Credit (for MSW Students & Alumni)
If you’ve trained with Stacey, Exhale counts toward your Mindful Somatic Wellness certification pathway.
Participants who attend the full retreat will receive 18 training hours credit (certificate of participation provided after the retreat).
(These hours apply within MSW training/certification pathways and continuing education for trainees; they are not presented as external accrediting-body hours.)

Nestled within 69 acres of forest at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga—one of British Columbia’s oldest and most respected retreat centres—this experience invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with your inner peace.
This retreat is a sacred pause from the pace of life. A moment to unplug from the city, step away from your phone, and rest in nature’s quiet embrace. Whether you’re seeking clarity, creativity, healing, or simply time to be still, you’re welcome here.

Our Yoga & Wellness Retreats are the new and improved version of our Yoga Getaways! We invite you to leave it all behind and enjoy a rejuvenating retreat in the heart of Salt Spring Island.
We’re thrilled to introduce this 3-Night Yoga & Wellness Weekend Retreat, something our participants have been requesting. Now, you can enjoy an additional day to unwind, deepen your practice, and savor the tranquility. This extra day allows you to ease into your retreat, linger a bit longer, and experience even greater relaxation and rejuvenation.
Our Yoga & Wellness Retreats are open to people of all genders and all races, and all levels of yoga practitioners. You can expect asana classes; an introduction to breathwork and meditation; relaxing time in nature; and delicious lacto-vegetarian meals.
If you’ve enjoyed a Yoga Getaway in the past, get ready to fall in love all over again. And if this is your first time, we look forward to welcoming you with our whole hearts.
