Ehlana is a Registered Acupuncturist and Yoga Teacher who has been cultivating her healing practice for over a decade.
Since 2014, she has offered private yoga sessions, workshops, classes, and retreats across Alberta and British Columbia. The profound transformations she witnessed in her students during one-on-one sessions deepened her curiosity about the psycho-somatic connection and the body’s innate capacity to heal. In 2017, she began her formal studies in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at C.I.T.C.M. in Calgary, AB. She later continued her education on the West Coast, completing her training at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC.
Ehlana has pursued a wide range of opportunities to deepen her acupuncture practice since beginning her studies. She launched her private practice at URetreat Wellness in Victoria, BC, while also extending her care to marginalized communities. Her work has included providing treatments for people experiencing addiction and houselessness at The Calgary Drop-In Centre and with the Portland Hotel Society Community Services Program. In addition, she has offered accessible, community-style acupuncture at the Victoria Native Friendship Centre and Hemma Community Acupuncture. She is immensely grateful to all her teachers and patients that have influenced and refined her practice along her path.
Her work is rooted in the belief that the body is always adapting and transforming as it orients toward wellness, viewing signs and symptoms are an invitation for curiosity. Transformation is accessible when the body is no longer viewed as problematic and rather as a companion to the spirit.
Her sessions are thorough and thoughtful. Modalities used include acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, Tui Na massage, diet and lifestyle advice and yoga asana as applicable.
