Quick background: Rupert has been working with plants for over 2 decades, growing a wide range of vegetable, grain and medicinal herb seeds. In 2004 as a KY at the Centre, he began working with Dan Jason of Salt Spring Seeds. As Akasha Seeds, he currently grows seeds for Salt Spring Seeds and the BC Eco Seed Co-op. He worked with the Bauta Family Initiative on Canadian Seed Security for 3 years as the BC co-ordinator, and one year as the National Training Advisor. Through the years he has farmed in several locations in BC, and co-authored 2 books with Dan Jason on medicinal plants
