When you opt to provide centre-catered meals during your retreat at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga, you can be assured that our menu (and optional add-ons) are sure to please your guests.
All our meals are high quality lacto-vegetarian, fresh and lovingly prepared by our skilled Kitchen Team. The Centre can provide dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan options upon request.
You have the option of choosing between a 2-meal plan that includes a good morning offering, brunch, and dinner, or a 3-meal plan that includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
3-Meal Plan
Breakfast | 8:45 am
Kickstart the day with something fresh, flavorful, and easy-to-digest. Our breakfast spread includes:
- Sweet Grain Dish, such as: Oatmeal, Grain Porridge, or Khir
- Savory Dish, such as: Khichari, Tofu Scramble, or Eggless Frittata
- Salt Spring Centre Granola (GF DF)
- Organic Dairy Yogurt
- Stewed Fruit Compote
- Milk (a selection of Dairy and Non-Dairy)
- Toast Table: Bread, Butter, Nut Butter (GF Bread Options)
Lunch | 12:30 pm
A hardy, mid-day meal that will tantalize all the senses and provide ample nourishment for the rest of the day. Some examples include:
- Cooked Legume, Grain, Seasonal Vegetable, Steamed Greens
- Dosas, Potato & Cauliflower Subji, Homemade Chutneys, Salad
- Build your own Buddha Bowls!
- Veggie Burgers, Sweet Potato Wedges, Salad
- Eggless Quiche, Grain Salad, Fresh Vegetable Salad
- Homemade Chili, Cornbread, Salad
Dinner | 6:00 pm
A wholesome, delicious meal that will satisfy without leaving you and your guests feeling heavy. Some examples include:
- Seasonal Soup, such as: Coconut Ginger Yam, Thai Coconut Curry, Borscht
- Grain, such as: Rice, Buckwheat, or Quinoa
- Homemade Spread or Dip
- Seasonal Salad or Vegetable Dish
- Fresh Bread or Seed Crackers
2-Meal Plan
Good Morning Offering | 7:30 am
Rise and shine!
A selection of light foods are available in the dining room for those that need a boost before brunch.
- A selection of organic seasonal fruit, such as: apples, pears, bananas, oranges
- Toast table: bread, butter, jam, nut butter (non-GF and GF bread)
- Optional add-on: Homemade Chai (dairy and non-dairy)
- Selection of organic teas and instant coffee
Brunch | 10:30 am
A generous selection of sweet and savory options to delight every palette. Our brunch spread includes:
- Sweet grain dish, such as: oatmeal, grain porridge, or khir
- Savory dish, such as: khichari, tofu scramble, or eggless frittata
- Salt Spring Centre granola (GF DF)
- Organic dairy yogurt
- Stewed fruit compote
- Milk (a selection of dairy and non-dairy)
- Fresh baked goods, such as: scones, muffins, or a loaf
Dinner | 6:00 pm
A wholesome, delicious meal that will satisfy without leaving you and your guests feeling heavy. Some examples include:
- Dal, Rice, Vegetable Subji, Chapati, Chutney & Raita
- Spanakopita, Greek Potatoes, Tabouleh Salad, Fresh Hummus, Salad
- Nut & Lentil Loaf, Umami Gravy, Seasonal Vegetable Dish, Salad
- Vegetable Lasagna, Kale Caesar Salad, Fresh Bread
- Baked & Breaded Tofu, Seasonal Vegetable Dish, Grain, Salad

Dietary Requests
Gluten-free and Dairy-free options are available at every meal. We do our best to accommodate all other dietary restrictions and preferences provided enough notice. Please email us any dietary requests at least 2-weeks prior to your program start date.

Welcome Snack | upon arrival
Greet your guests with a freshly baked arrival snack, warm out of the oven!

Midday Snack | 2 or 3pm
Add a midday snack to zest up your afternoon:
- Savory: Spread or Dip, Selection of Seed and Grain Crackers, Fresh Vegetables

Chai | 2 or 3pm
A great alternative or accompaniment to midday snack, we make delicious traditional spiced Chai from scratch:
- Homemade Chai Spice Brewed with Black and/or Rooibos Tea
- Dairy and Non-Dairy Milk Options Available
- Served With Honey
Dessert | after dinner
A sweet seasonal touch to round-out your evening meal. One dessert is included in all program rentals; however, you have the choice to add dessert to every evening meal if you wish. Our desserts are served with dairy and non-dairy whipped cream or fruit compote. Some examples include:
