Meet The Modern Explorer – Laura.

The Modern Explorer name was first born from Laura’s passion for nature, travel, and experiencing new cultures firsthand. As her interest in spirit and energy grew, the way she viewed the world grew too. There were so many more layers to her explorations and experiences. She is excited to share this energetic world with you too!

Laura originally hails from Ontario, where she earned her degree in Biology. She moved to Victoria, BC in 2018 to be closer to her family after living abroad for several years. She has a B.Sc (Hons) from the University of Guelph, is a Master Reiki practitioner, a certified yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, and a recently certified Crystal Singing Bowl Therapist.

Laura is a natural born healer, although there was a time where she would have laughed if you’d told her she would become an energy healer. A time where she doubted energy work was a real thing at all. So she definitely won’t judge you if you’re sceptical! It’s often a concept you need to experience to believe. And it’s pretty incredible when you do.

Science and the metaphysical haven’t historically seen eye to eye, but the more we learn and discover, the more space there seems to be for energy work within the scientific realm.
