Multi-Style Therapeutic Yoga Class
Drawing from the Hatha, Ashtanga and Iyengar traditions, multi-style yoga is a gentle but invigorating practice with an emphasis on opening the body, drawing the breath from deep within, developing more subtle awareness and enlivening to the present. Props will be used to assist as well as deepen the practice.
Classes will be catered to the individuals attending and practices will be modified to accommodate various personas.

Teacher:
Ishwarya Chaitanya began her yoga journey under her father Sri Prameya Chaitanya in the Hatha yoga tradition of Sivananda ashram, Rishikesh. Originally from Vancouver, BC, she traveled to India to further her passion in Bharatanatyam and yoga and studied under renowned Gurus. She did her yoga teacher training and post-graduate diploma in yoga therapy at S-VYASA University in Bengaluru, specializing in yoga for various psychosomatic disorders. She completed her Ashtanga Vinyasa primary series teacher training at Tattva Yogashala, Rishikesh and studied under renowned Iyengar teacher Sri H.S. Arun for over ten years.
Ishwarya’s practice is heavily influenced by her exposure to the study of Vedanta at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam. She had the honour of being under the care of Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati for four and a half years and teaches regularly at the ashram’s retreats at Rishikesh and Pennsylvania. She holds an MA in Bharatanatyam from Sastra University, Tanjavur and a BSc. in Environmental Science from the University of British Columbia. She is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and has performed extensively in India and abroad.
