Shivaratri at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga 🕉️🔱

Shivaratri is a sacred night of remembrance and practice, a time to honor Shiva, the remover of illusion and granter of peace. On the darkest night, we come together in prayer, chanting, and ceremony, offering our devotion as Shiva takes his rest.

It is an auspicious time to deepen our understanding of our true nature, to reaffirm or renew our vow to regularly practice sadhana and live a yogic life.

✨ Schedule Highlights:
📿 Feb 24: Fasting begins for those making lingams (8:30 AM).
🕉️ Feb 25: Making of 1008 Shiva lingams (8:30 AM). Fasting continues or begins for those offering in the pujas.
🔥 Feb 25: All-night vigil (7:00 PM) with Ganesh puja, Hanuman Chalisa, Shiva Aarti, Kirtan, Asanas & Yajñas.
🌅 Feb 26: Procession & offering of lingams to the pond (7:00 AM), followed by a simple breakfast (8:00 AM).
