What’s happening at the Centre – October 2024
A snapshot of life at the Centre in October 2024!
October at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga was filled with warmth, gratitude, and joyful moments shared by our community. Here are some highlights:
Kitchen and housekeeping have been nonstop with events and programs. We’ve had a couple 5 and 6 day Retreats this Fall, very wonderful to have that kind of commitment to practice from them. We feel it, the collective energy of practice and peace. Huge thanks to everyone keeping things running smoothly!
A heartfelt thank you to Paz and the entire farm team for a sweet season! Your dedication and service have nourished the land and our community in so many ways, from seasonal food and flowers to the beauty of a well-prepared winter garden. We’re grateful for each moment of care you’ve poured into the farm this year. Thank you for helping our Centre grow in harmony with nature.
Karma yogis spent a couple great days at Paul’s pressing fresh juice from apples and then also the pears from our orchard. First day the auspicious count of 108 bottles filled and the following work party, another 67 bottles of delicious juice! A big thank you to Paul and everyone for making it such a sweet time.
Gawain, talented karma yogi and photographer, captured some amazing shots this month. One of his best? The aurora lighting up the Centre! Postcards with his photos are on the way.
October brought out nature’s magic here! We’ve had rainbows, pink sunsets, and even an aurora lighting up the sky. It’s been a stunning season.
We surprised Kristin with a thank you and farewell party! She’s created much clarity, guidance and financial budget support over these past three years. All areas have benefited, and we are most grateful. We’re wishing her the best for what’s next. We’ll miss you, Kristin!
We had a lovely time celebrating Anuradha’s birthday! Her light and joy lift us all. There was a delicious meal, an amazing dessert buffet, and so much laughter. We’re so grateful for you, Anuradha!
It’s a tradition, ever since Cara graduated from the Centre’s Yoga Teacher Training. She wanted to give back, and created by donation, fund-raising classes, for all her classes. Thank you, Cara and Sam, for the beautiful class offerings. And to the ‘anonymous’ donor for a $1000 donation for your classes and the Centre, bringing the total to $2000. Thank you so much!
Thanks to Elise, finding your way at the Centre is now easier than ever! She created a mural map, now displayed at the office entrance, to guide all visitors. It is an art piece, and another is on the way for the campground and trails map. Thank you so much for this beautiful addition.
Ishwarya, talented karma yogi and professional dancer, gifted us with a stunning Bharatanatyam dance. Her grace and artistry were a true joy to watch. Thank you, Ishwarya, for sharing your gifts!
From heartfelt celebrations to service in nature’s rhythm, October has been a time of connection, creativity, and community here at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga.
Thank you to Babaji for all the gifts he gives us as we continue to be blessed and inspired by his teachings and Grace.
Thank you to all who are serving so devotedly to create and support the best possibilities. Both those living and working on the Land, and our Centre Satsang family and friends, continuing to support in many ways through the year!
OMMMMMMMM Gurudev!!
Jai Babaji!! Jai Satsang!!
