In my role at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga, I have the pleasure of often being the first point of contact for hosts, guests, and Satsang members. My work position started in October 2021, however my path to the Centre started much earlier than that when I began visiting at least once per year over a span of the last 10 years. Whether I was partaking in yoga classes, forest bathing, or enjoying the serenity of the outdoor temples, I always returned home nourished, replenished and revitalized.
My career background is in spa and hospitality, and I am fortunate to have lived and worked in many destinations, including Hawaii, Australia and most recently Vancouver. Throughout my travels, yoga has been a grounding force so, like many, when I became displaced by the pandemic, I was afforded an opportunity to revisit priorities. With yoga and wellness landing firmly on top of the list, I was delighted to find a job opportunity posted on the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga Employment Opportunities page, and the rest as they say, is history.
What I appreciate most about the Centre is that it is an indescribable place where magic happens over and over again, and guests have the opportunity to find whatever it is they might be seeking. This is a tribute to the founding members of the Centre, some of whom I have the pleasure of living and working with. To be in the midst of such an extraordinary team is truly a privilege, and I look forward to welcoming guests and being a part of a very busy season of renewal and growth. We are launching new programs, as well as delivering our core selection of programs and a variety of public yoga classes.
